What can Invisalign do for me?
Invisalign can give you straight teeth without wearing braces.
Invisalign is a series of clear aligners that are created using computer imaging to very gradually and precisely move your teeth into their proper position.
What are the advantages of Invisalign?
- Invisalign aligners are clear, and most people will not even notice that you are wearing them
- They are more comfortable than braces and do not irritate your lips and mouth
- They can be removed for brushing and flossing, and even while eating, so you don't have to change your habits or sacrifice dental hygiene
How long will it take to straighten my teeth with Invisalign?
The Invisalign process can take anywhere from six months to two years, depending on your individual needs. For most patients, straightening takes nine months to a year.
Can I switch from braces to Invisalign?
Most people can make the switch, but each situation is unique. The best thing to do is schedule a consultation at Dr. Beninato's Omaha, Nebraska cosmetic dentistry office to determine if Invisalign is right for you. Depending on the level of straightening you need, you may need a combination of traditional braces and Invisalign.
Can Invisalign be used with crowns and bridgework?
In most cases, Invisalign can be used with crowns. Bridgework can present more of a problem because it prevents movement of some of your teeth, but even some people can use Invisalign with bridgework.
You will feel some pressure when you insert a new aligner. This normally subsides in two to three days.
